GlossGenius is changing how beauty and wellness business owners do business and now it’s time to bring in a creative genius to showcase our amazing users and product through engaging content! We're looking for an out-of-the-box thinker to drive the overall content strategy for our brand, leading the creation of effective and imaginative ideas, ensuring we're effectively telling our stories across the digital landscape. The right candidate will help raise awareness of GlossGenius that will lead to increased site traffic and new customers. Our product serves a wide variety of beauty and wellness professionals. As such, you’ll contribute strategic direction and directly oversee the creation of blog, social, email and partnerships content that is universally original, authentic, informative, and of course, SEO friendly.
Responsibilities You’ll Own and Rock
Draft and implement effective content marketing strategies to drive and engage qualified traffic to GlossGenius including:
Content Development — Oversee the development of content for GlossGenius blog(s), social accounts, knowledge base, email, website, YouTube channel, and as needed for other marketing channels
Content Distribution — Identify third-party sites, platforms, beauty professional communities, etc. to engage our target market via contextually relevant content integrations
Content Strategy — Leverage holistic understanding of GlossGenius’s market positioning and potential to define the entire editorial roadmap, working cross-functionally across marketing channels to ensure flawless execution of various channel-specific marketing campaigns
Set Content Calendar - set and manage a 90-day content calendar that outlines specific materials that we will publish across all channels
Thought Leadership - Understand our user’s needs and pain points and develop thoughtful and engaging educational content to highlight GlossGenius as a thought-leader in the beauty and wellness space
Define and achieve KPIs including:
Natural search rankings of GlossGenius via SEO content
Conversion of site visitors through content engagement
Customer acquisition via content distribution
Brand engagement across marketing channels (email, social, media, etc.)
Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.
3+ copywriting and content marketing experience.
Excellent writing and editing skills that can be applied to white papers or case studies, e-books, guides, webinars, infographics, short form blog entries, “How To” videos, etc.
Proven and tested ability to juggle multiple projects, deal with multiple personalities, and maintain a positive attitude through it all.
Ability to work with customers to understand their experiences, needs, and develop engaging content to drive more users to GlossGenius.
Experience across the entire content marketing process, from needs assessment through measurement
Experience across social networks, blogs, and content sharing communities
Ability to process and make decisions based on data and set quantitative goals
